TeachHarbor Privacy Policy
How TeachHarbor handles teacher account information, teacher-created work and service-provider data.
Effective date: August 24, 2026.
1. Who this policy covers
TeachHarbor is a Heart-Felt Publishing platform designed primarily for adult educators and ministry leaders. TeachHarbor Core is teacher-facing and is not designed to create student accounts or persistent student profiles.
2. Information TeachHarbor may process
Depending on the features used, TeachHarbor may process account information such as name and email address; grade or teaching preferences; membership and referral status; teacher-created lessons, quizzes, notes, reminders, contacts and saved resources; support messages; and technical information reasonably needed to operate and secure the service.
3. Teacher-created and student-related information
Teachers control what they enter. TeachHarbor should not be used to store unnecessary sensitive student information. Teachers remain responsible for following school, district and legal requirements that apply to information they choose to enter.
4. Payments
Paid membership and question-pack payments are processed through Stripe. TeachHarbor may store Stripe customer or subscription identifiers and payment status needed to manage access, but payment-card details are handled through Stripe's hosted systems rather than stored in TeachHarbor's member data file.
5. Advanced Technology
When a teacher or ministry leader uses a feature powered by Advanced Technology, the text and context submitted for that request may be sent to the configured generation-technology provider so the feature can return a result. Users should avoid submitting information that is not needed for the task.
6. Google advertising measurement
TeachHarbor uses a Google tag for advertising measurement and conversion tracking. Google may use cookies or similar device/browser information according to Google's policies. The signup conversion is intended to be recorded only after a new TeachHarbor trial account is successfully created.
7. Why information is used
Information may be used to operate accounts and tools, save teacher work, manage memberships and referral rewards, provide support, improve TeachHarbor, prevent abuse, secure the service and meet legal or accounting obligations.
8. Service providers
TeachHarbor may use service providers for hosting, email, payments, security, advertising measurement and Advanced Technology when needed to provide their services.
9. Retention and security
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, preserve promised teacher-created work, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and protect the service. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
TeachHarbor membership and teacher-account features are intended for adult educators and are not directed to children under 13.
11. Choices and policy changes
Teachers may update account information, choose what content they submit and request support regarding account information subject to legitimate legal, security and retention requirements. Material policy changes should be reflected by an updated effective date and appropriate notice.
